Morning Strike

By chance, I captured this striking black-and-white photograph of a sudden snow strike on the scene, while fog drapes the tree line below. I had been trudging through Yosemite Valley snow on a cold and damp January morning, and I was tired and looking for something interesting to show its face to me. As I was walking up to this iconic wall of granite, the early morning light suddenly sliced through the clouds, revealing the raw and timeless energy that defines Yosemite. The interplay of light and shadow, combined with the crisp film texture, hopefully invites you into a moment both fleeting and eternal — a quiet yet powerful testament to nature’s grandeur that I felt that morning.

I release limited edition California fine art prints in small runs of 25. "Morning Strike" is available either in Collector's Print (Unframed) on Hannemühle fine art paper, or in Museum Framed Edition on Hannemühle fine art paper, under Acrylic glass and framed with mounting hardware installed. Each will be produced by WhiteWall (Germany), one of the most respected art labs in the world. A Certificate of Authenticity indicating the print number within the edition, and signed by the Artist, will be provided to each collector.
