Big Sur Sunset

Between storm and sunset, magic happens. Dark clouds gather over the Big Sur coast, but the setting sun finds a gap—a single brilliant opening that floods the Pacific with molten gold. The light is fleeting, dramatic, almost theatrical in its intensity. A lone surfer stands in the shallows, silhouetted against the luminous water, reading the waves while seabirds trace lazy arcs across the glowing sky. The weathered pier stretches into the sea, its pilings marching in perfect rhythm toward the horizon, a few figures visible along its length—fishermen, wanderers, witnesses to this daily drama of light and weather.

This is Big Sur at its most elemental: where storm systems collide with golden hour, where the Pacific's raw power meets California's legendary coastline. The contrast between brooding clouds and radiant light creates a scene of almost painterly beauty—nature's own chiaroscuro, rendered in shades of amber, steel, and shadow.

I release limited edition California fine art prints in small runs of 25. Each will be produced by WhiteWall (Germany), one of the most respected art labs in the world. A Certificate of Authenticity indicating the print number within the edition, and signed by the Artist, will be provided to each collector.
